tofu salad
Silken tofu salad
Serves 2
1 block silken tofu
2 tomatoes
1 piece garlic ( I often leave this out)
3 tbsps soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Parsley, spring onions, mitsuba or other green garnishy things
First
Slice garlic and fry. Cut tomatoes into rounds. Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes.
Place tofu and tomatoes in a plate, sprinkling fried garlic over them.
Second
Mix soysauce, vinegar, mirin, and sesame oil to make dressing. Pour the dressing
over the salad and sprinkle garnish before serving. Tastes delicious when
chilled.
